I have a tank of tropicals but nothing as exotic as those.
My Mollies spawned the other week.
They must be happy in there.

Glass catfishes (Kryptopterus bicirrhis) are from Borneo, Sumatra, and Thailand. This fish is unusual because you can see through to its bones and internal organs.

I have a 3 foot tank with Mollies,Platties,2 bristlenose cats, who breed sometimes, blue gourami, one siamese fighter  and a  few neon tetras.
I stopped buying the dearer tropicals as sometimes they dont last very long.
Nothing too dear buy nice to have in the house.

no BB arowanas are not illegal, i know their legal in nsw and not legal in vic and lots of exotic fish are illegal in vic, the silver arowana is native to australia then their quite cheap the babys for for 200 10-15cm legal size you can sell them. you can buy super red arowanas imported from indonesia and singapore which cost around $3000+
