Here is a bit of fun for you to consider, the bulk of the grow occurred between March & June

Does it speak with an accent?

I see you've managed to get your BD to draw water in an anticlockwise direction?

This would have to be the slowest growing koi in my pond. With the sheen declining, it might end looking more like a showa

Today 20cm. Nitrate at 20ppm. Pond Temp 12 C

This one bloomed early then.  Undecided
I'm surprised the sheen is declining so quickly as originally it looked good.
Do you think the decline is more genetic, environmental or food associated?

In this variety it is genetic more often than not. If I can get time, I will post a picture of a sibling who has been living  in the same pond. It is not food, as the grandmother has been fed on the same food most of her life and her sheen is fine.
